Dear CCS Members,
As you know, we have been instructed to stay at home to slow down the progression of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) here in the United States. Since ”social distancing” has been recommended, starting immediately the Columbus Computer Society resource center will be closed until the end of the month. Also, all face-to-face meetings will be put on hold until this crisis is averted.
The monthly CCS General Meeting and Special Interest Groups could meet virtually. If they do meet, information will be posted here on our website.
Please know that closure was not a decision that was made lightly, and we expect that there will be differences of opinion about how our community responds to the uncertainties surrounding COVID-19. At the same time, we know that CCS is a community that values concern and compassion for others. Now is the time when we need to embrace these values and put them into action.
The CCS resource center will reopen with regularly scheduled programs and activities once the threat has been neutralized. CCS events will then be limited to gatherings of 10 or fewer participants. Please check back here on our website for further updates.
We can all play a part in keeping each other — our loved ones, friends, and communities — healthy and safe.
Kind Regards,
Kenneth Tubaugh
